Using the PMOD™ electrode handles, harmful smoke produced during electro-coagulation can besucked out, to the benefit of the health of the medical staff and environment. It is one of the most efficient, economic and convenient instruments applied in surgical dissection so far and has been widely recognized and adopted by surgeons worldwide. Uniquely designed, it combines the 4 functions cutting, separating (curetting), aspirating and coagulating. The system has a metal tube whose body is insulated except a bevel edge at the distal end. A movable blade is attached at the tip for diathermy cutting. The suction pipe is connected with the suction apparatus through the aspiration tube and the monopolar cable is connected to the electrosurgical unit.
