Vascular Surgery & Angio-Access
Vascular surgery mainly deals with vascular diagnostics, arterial injuries, vessel occlusion and aneurysms as well as with venous problems (varicose veins). The therapy is increasingly carried out without any surgery, or only with a minimally invasive surgery.

The main area is the treatment of arterial occlusive disease, the so-called "intermittent claudication". With increasing life expectations and still high nicotine abuse, the number of arteriosclerotic circulatory disorders still continues to grow. Furthermore, morbid extensions of the vessels, aneurysms, often need to be treated.

GEISTER offers besides the usual hand instruments, such as needle holders, scissors, tissue forceps, retractors etc., also verious special tools for in-situ vein bypass, endarterectomy strippers, tunneling instruments, carotis clamps, shunt clamps, atraumatic vascular clamps and bulldog clamps, bipolar forceps, and valvulotomes.
